Preventing and Dealing with Sunburn
In hot and sunny climates you can be effected by the sun's U.V.(Ultra Violet) rays in minutes. The effect varies from person to person but a sun burn is never fun. The burning, blistering and peeling associated with a sun burn are uncomfortable and best prevented, so prevent it by covering up.
Wear a hat, clothing, sunglasses and apply sunscreen or sun-block to exposed areas liberally. Reapply sun screen regularly and after getting wet. Being out on the water (swimming or in a boat) you will find that you burn more quickly. Sun stroke or heat stroke (the term describing nausea, headache and fatigue) often accompanies sun burns. Hydration is very important. Drink plenty of water during and after exposure to the sun.
